چکیده

Objective: Methylation status of Septin9 (SEPT9) and vimentin (VIM) genes in circulating tumor DNA colorectal cancer (CRC) patients is a promising bio-marker for the early detection CRC. The aim present study was to identify methylation promoter regions SEPT9 VIM cohort Indian with biopsy proven cancer. Material Methods: Forty-five consecutive were recruited. 10 mL venous samples collected from each patient processed isolation cell-free DNA, bisulfite conversion polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification genes. Results: Partial 42.22% 57.78% showed no none tumors had complete methylation. Only three (6.66%) patterns remaining 42 (93.33%) partial Considering two together, only out 45 association both (complete, partial, methylation) sex, age, T stage, N M CEA, histology, location (right or left colon) explored these parameters statistically significant. Conclusion: In our study, 6.66% CRC hypermethylation there any like TNM histology.

Circulating methylated SEPT9 DNA in plasma is a biomarker for colorectal cancer.

BACKGROUND The presence of aberrantly methylated SEPT9 DNA in plasma is highly correlated with the occurrence of colorectal cancer. We report the development of a new SEPT9 biomarker assay and its validation in case-control studies. The development of such a minimally invasive blood-based test may help to reduce the current gap in screening coverage. METHODS A new SEPT9 DNA methylation assay ...

Diagnostic value of circulating methylated SEPT9 DNA in colorectal cancer: a meta-analysis

The diagnostic value of circulating SEPT9 DNA methylation in patients with colorectal cancer remains controversial. Thus, we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess diagnostic accuracy of SEPT9 DNA methylation for colorectal cancer (CRC). We conducted a comprehensive literature search in PubMed, the Cochrane library, Web of Science databases and Chinese National Knowledge Infr...

A Pilot Study of CK19, CK20 and GCC mRNA in the Peripheral Blood as a Colorectal Cancer Biomarker Panel

Colorectal cancer remains one of the major cancer- related deaths despite progress in the treatment during past decades. Detection of disease at earlier stages reduces its mortality. The aim of current study was to investigate expression of Cytokeratin 19 (CK19), Cytokeratin 20 (CK20) and Guanylyl Cyclase C (GCC) mRNA in peripheral blood of non- metastatic colorectal cancer patients which may r...

Detection of aberrant methylated SEPT9 and NTRK3 genes in sporadic colorectal cancer patients as a potential diagnostic biomarker.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common malignancies, and the third leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide. Timely detection of CRC in patients with earlier stages provides the highest rate of survival. Epigenetic alterations are important in the occurrence and progression of CRC, and represent the primary modifications of cancer cells. Therefore, detection of these alterations i...
